The answers we give most often.

I forgot the parent PIN.

Tap Forgot PIN? on the PIN screen. After a question meant for a grown-up, you can choose a new PIN. Your profiles and takes stay as they are. The PIN is stored only on the phone, so we can’t look it up for you.

How do I set up AI voices?

Open any scene, go to its Voices page and tap Set up AI voices, or go to Settings. Create an API key with ElevenLabs, OpenAI or Google Cloud, paste it in, and choose a voice for each character. You pay the provider for what you use. The key is encrypted on your phone and sent only to that provider.

The reader's voice sounds robotic.

The free voices come from your phone's text-to-speech engine. Installing a better engine or voice pack (Google's speech services on Android, enhanced voices on iPhone) improves them offline. AI voices sound the most natural.

Export does nothing, or asks for credits.

Exporting is a Studio tool. A popup offers to unlock Studio for 24 hours with two credits, to watch a short ad for another credit, or to get Pro. On a child profile, a parent unlocks it with the PIN.

I bought Pro but it isn't showing.

Open the Studio panel and tap Restore purchase while signed in to the same Google account. If it still doesn't appear, email us your order number from the Google Play receipt; never send card details.

The reader doesn't hear me.

Check the microphone permission, then lower the listening sensitivity in Settings. A Bluetooth pedal, a tap or the volume keys also advance the reader.

Give the bug nowhere to hide.

Send the phone model, Android version, Back to One version, the scene you were on, what you expected, what happened, and the shortest steps that reproduce it. A screenshot helps when nothing private is visible.

Before writing in

  • Update to the newest version from Google Play.
  • Tell us whether you were on an adult or a child profile.
  • For AI voices, say which provider, but never send the API key itself.
  • Never send passwords, PINs, payment details or recordings you don't want us to see.
